Friendship North / South is a network of municipalities, organizations, groups, institutions and individuals involved in the partnership between local communities in Norway and in the South. We want to help create an equal dialogue between people from communities in Norway and in communities in the South.
Community partnership programme is a new initiative which is part of the new FNS concept. The programme focuses on linking up different communities in the south and the north (Norway) in a bid to contribute to a development that promotes human rights, solidarity between peoples democracy, sustainable development and mutual cultural understanding.

As part of the organization's work plan, FNS holds courses with its partners on various topics which are relevant for effective partnerships and will help in the planning and implementation of partneship projects. You can have a look at the planned courses in different countries for the venues and dates. In addition to the courses, there are events through out the year that are held by the organization in the undertakings of different tasks. such events include the 'Days of sharing ideas' which will be held in spring among other very relevant events. SPOR is an exchange programme for young people between the ages of 18 and 25. The programme is particularly adapted to youth with no previous organisational experience, preferably those with a vocational background. Friendship North/South hosts this programme in collaboration with Fredskorpset
Some of the activities that are witnessed in the network include among other things; story telling, dancing, acrobatics, volunteerism in art centres and schools, carpentry, working in municipalities and other technical areas. These activities are dependent on the programme that a participant is involved in and as many as there are partnerships in the network, so there are different activities.
